Along this stretch of coast, mornings like this mean one thing -- the water is calling.  Captured at Sandy Hook along the New Jersey shoreline, Black Flag Morning holds a quiet moment before the day begins.  The horizon sits low, the sand stretches out empty, and the Atlantic moves slowly beyond the flag.

Printed on textured canvas, the photograph takes on a more natural character than a glossy poster.  The subtle grain of the canvas softens the image and gives it depth, closer to how the scene felt standing there in the wind and salt air.
